Safe Congregation Panel - Honoring the Children
In order to promote the comfort and safety of children in our congregation, First UU has adopted Honoring the Children, a policy regarding preventing and reporting child abuse, harassment, and other inappropriate behavior toward children. This policy assures the screening and training of RE Teachers and all youth volunteers, establishes a Safe Congregation Panel to educate the congregation on issues of child abuse prevention, and provides a confidential forum for reporting suspected abuse. If you have concerns about the safety of a child in our church, please report your concerns to the DRE, Minister, or any member of the Safe Congregation Panel.
